创设情景,发挥学生主体性

教学内容

The topic of this unit is “Finding your way”. In this “Integrated Skills” period, we will learn something about the directions .The students will listen to the guide’s introduction and learn how to draw the route. And try to learn how to get to the special place.

教学对象

The seventh grade students are not good at listening for some target information So in this teaching period, I will divide the listening material into several periods to reduce the level of difficulty.

教学目标

1. To get the information with the listening materials.

2. To finish different tasks with the information that has been got.

3. To discuss how to get the right route.

教学策略

1. Integrated applications and autonomous cooperative learning.

2. Know the meaning of expressions by matching the pictures with the expressions.

3. Improve the listening skills.

4. Practice spoken English by speaking up.

 Greetings and introduce the little pig to students and ask them to finish the four tasks to find out the treasure.

 

 

 

1.Lead to Task1.

 

Review some phrases and signs about directions with some pictures.(turn left/ turn right/ go straight on). Learn some new words and phrases about directions.(crossing/ zebra crossing/ traffic lights)

 

2. Lead to Task2.

 

(1)Show pictures in the book for them to describe with the phrases and sentences.

 

(2) Listen to Mr Wu’s instructions and tick and ask them to describe the pictures again.

 

 

 

(3)Play a game about directions.

 

 

3. Lead to Task3. Try to describe the route.

 

(1) Show the map of A3. Say what’s in the map.

 

 

(2)Discuss how to get to the house and describe the route.

 

(3) Read the instructions and listen to the tape and put the sentences in the correct order in A2.

(If necessary, the teacher can play the recorder for the second time.) Read the sentences together.

 

(4) Listen to the tape again, then draw the route on the map in A3.

 

(1) play a game . Four in groups to write down the route and others guess where is the treasure.

 

(2)Health is more important than wealth.

 

Recite the new phrases and words.
